E30. Time and Intentionality with Sarah Stewart

Rethinking time, urgency and how we lead when we're stretched thin.

From the Moment the Day Begins

We all know the feeling, the day starts and before we’ve even had a moment to settle, we’re already in reaction mode. Emails, meetings, demands. Somewhere in the middle, a list of things we “should” be doing gathers dust while we put out the next fire.

This week on the podcast, I speak with Sarah Stewart, time and project management expert, about how purpose-driven people, especially those leading or building something, can shift from firefighting to an intentional, more holistic relationship with time.

Sarah works with founders, leaders and teams who are running at pace but know something needs to change. Her work invites people to press pause, get clear on what matters and build systems that support, not drain them.

Mindset Over Hacks

Sarah describes the shift from constantly “doing” to intentionally choosing and how that shift can feel unfamiliar, but also freeing. Similarly, mindful planning can help bring the flexibility and freedom we so often crave and are unable to achieve.

This isn’t a conversation about colour-coded calendars or productivity hacks. It’s about mindset, boundaries, values and the kind of self-leadership that doesn’t burn us out. Sarah gently reminds us that time isn’t something we chase; it’s something we shape.

If you’ve been feeling behind, overloaded or like your time belongs to everyone but you, this one’s for you.

I’d love to know what this conversation sparks for you.
