About a year ago I had the chance to host a series of podcast-style conversations for the World Education Summit. The summit itself was a space for big thinking, learning and honest reflection and these conversations were no different.
Each guest brought their own experience, perspective and pause-for-thought wisdom. And while the questions were the same, or at least started the same, the conversations that unfolded were anything but.
We explored what sits at the heart of their work. What influences them. How they create and think. What they value. What they’re dreaming of and what they'd write as their memoir in a sentence.
The result is a mini-series I’m calling The Human Behind the Work and over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing these episodes as part of my Space to Think podcast available here on Substack or over on Spotify.
You’ll hear from generous, thoughtful guests including Michael Bungay Stanier, author of The Coaching Habit, in the first episode. In our conversation he spoke about feedback, focus and the beauty of asking yourself one small but powerful question every day:
“What do I want?”
And perhaps more poignantly, he offered this reminder:
“Wherever you're at, and however you're doing… my fundamental belief is that you're awesome and you're doing great.”
These are rich conversations and I hope they offer space for your own reflection too.
Guiding you through the wood, the trees and the spaces in between. Join me each month as I dive into a theme inspired by my work and the conversations I have.
Love the sound of this mini series! Looking forward to getting back to your podcast following a busy season 💫
